Help US Bring Accessibility to Real Estate

At ABLE Environments, we believe independence and quality of life begin with access—and that includes accessible housing. That’s why we created the Accessibility Real Estate Specialist (ARES™) Training Designation: the first nationally certified program teaching real estate professionals how to better serve people with disabilities, seniors, and families with accessibility needs.

We’re inviting nonprofits across the country who support people with disabilities to partner with us in spreading the word to your members so they can share with the Realtors and real estate professionals they already know and trust. Together, we can make housing more inclusive and give people real options when buying or selling a home.

Why ARES Matters

  • 1 in 4 Americans report having a disability—yet accessible housing remains limited and hard to find.

  • Realtors trained through ARES learn how to recognize accessibility needs, navigate MLS accessibility fields, understand the laws and confidently serve clients with mobility or aging-related challenges.

  • This program ensures that accessibility is part of the housing conversation from the very beginning.

By sharing ARES with your members, you’ll be helping to build a trusted network of professionals who understand their needs and can truly make a difference in their housing journey.

How We Partner With You

Ready-to-Use Materials

We’ve created an email template and flyer you can forward to your members or share in your communication channels.

  • Email Template": A simple, copy-and-paste email to share with your members.

  • Flyer/One-Page: A downloadable handout for your events, newsletters, or social media.

Shared Mission, Bigger Impact

By partnering, you’ll be advancing inclusive housing practices, raising awareness in your community, and creating lasting impact for the people who need it most.

Direct Benefits for Your Members

  • Realtors who complete ARES training will be in our Realtor Database and we’ll share this information with you so you can connect your members directly to trained professionals both locally and nationally.

  • If your members are looking for a Realtor who has the ARES Designation, they can contact Able Environments directly and we will get them in contact with a Realtor in their area.

  • We will introduce you to local and/or national Realtors or real estate professionals who are affiliated with your organization, ensuring they can best serve your members’ specific needs and communities.

Together, we can make accessibility the standard in real estate—one home at a time.
