Tom Minty

CERTIFIED LUXURY HOME MARKETING SPECIALIST: FOUNDER

Tom Minty has been a successful Broker and Realtor® with John L Scott Real Estate for over 15 years. He is a GUILD™ Member of the Institute for Luxury Homes Marketing, a Master Certified Negotiation Expert (MCNE®), and a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®) with an exceptional focus on accessible housing. Tom’s awareness of the need to find housing and resources that met everyone’s needs regardless of ability came early from a conversation that he had with a very dear friend who was becoming progressively less mobile from Multiple Sclerosis (MS). She had asked if he often found accessible housing so he turned to the local Multiple Listing Service and what he found was a segment of the population that was being largely ignored and terribly underserved.

In 2004, Tom established ABLE Environments to focus on the need for real estate expertise on the issues of accessible living and housing decisions for an aging population. In addition to his successful real estate business, Tom is a diligent campaigner for broader recognition of barrier-free housing and an advocate with designers and the building industry to change the way we build housing for the coming decades. He is a Charter Member of the Northwest Universal Design Council and a frequent speaker raising public awareness for the benefit of homes usable by anyone and promoting the use of Universal Design in the mainstream housing industry. As a second-term Member of the Advisory Council for Seattle-King County Aging and Disabilities Service, Tom is an advocate helping to direct public policy with state and local governments. He is also a WA state licensed Real Estate Instructor in order to develop continuing relevant education to advance the level of consciousness in other real estate professionals.

Michael Kraus

Photographer & Videographer

Michael has always loved photography. He picked up his first camera at 12 and hasn’t been without one since. He completed art school at Pratt and university at Arizona State, eventually making his way to Hollywood doing the kind of stuff that makes people jealous that their job isn’t as exciting, working with stars, art directing movie sets, traveling the world, and refining his craft along the way. Twenty years later and ready for a new challenge, Mike moved back to his home in the Pacific Northwest and started his own business, Aerial and Lifestyle Productions, working as a professional photographer and videographer. Most days you’ll find him camera in hand, trusty pup Scarlett by his side, looking for that next great shot, or searching for the best chowder in Seattle.
